Document Options continues to grow during 2012 with the acquisition of Close invoice Finance. One of the cities most respected and innovative merchant banks, the close finance group is FTSE top 250 listed company with over 1000 clients. Close came to Document Options with a requirement to manage hardcopy documents, generated on behalf of their customers and found Document Options to deliver the most professional and effective solution to handling, scanning and managing documents. Available 24 hours a day, from anywhere across the globe, Close’s documents are uploaded securely online and can be accessed at a moment’s notice from a simple user friendly interface.
Following on from the success of managing Close’s business critical documents, the project has grown to encompass a variety of documents, which can now be accessed by over 200 users, from numerous sites within in the UK. The project has been rolled out to Newbury and Manchester offices with others expected to follow suit later this year. Document Options also securely manages the holding and destruction of hardcopy documents, allowing Close the peace of mind that a centralised solution offers, permitting scanned images to be retrieved, and physical hardcopy documents to be safely stored should the need arise for any document to be reclaimed. Close Finance stated: “Document Options have listened and worked with us to deliver a bespoke professional service which has far exceeded our expectations & changed the way we communicate internally”.
As well as securing large financial clients, Document Options acquired large public sector clients such as Kent County council. Kent City council put out to tender a document management end-to-end requisite that could handle complex printing, receipt of completed forms, tracking, reminders and response data within tight deadlines. After a successful tender process, Document Options secured a contract of 15,000 individual survey forms comprising of around 300,000 pages annually. On average, 2 million characters of data within survey forms are scanned and retained within a centralised database which is then securely transported back to Kent City Council. Dr Tony Alderton affirmed; “It is a massive exercise, in fact the largest of its kind in the country, and the work that Document Options do for us in this respect is invaluable… Document Options have been very proactive in ensuring that the service gets better and better each year. It is unlikely that the survey could be carried out in the timeframes required and as efficiently as needed without the input of Document Options.”
Document Options continues to grow its client base with the acquisition of Caffyns, one of the leading car dealerships in the South east of England and ABS pumps, a global provider of pumps, mixers and aerators. As well as expanding their range of clients, Document Options continues to grow its resource of marketing leading scanning and printing equipment. Following a visit to DRUPA earlier this month, a major digital print and media trade show held only every 4 years in Germany, Document Options placed an order for a revolutionary new printing machine, the £275,000 HP i5600, likely to be the first installation in the South East.
