The Cable Company Previews New Abyss Headphones at Chicago Axpona Audio Show

Pennsylvania, US (20th March, 2013) – The Cable Company, a leading provider of specialty audio cables and high-performance sound equipment, has previewed the new Abyss AB-1266 Headphones—soon to be the latest addition to their Lending Library—at the Chicago Axpona Audio Show.

The Chicago Axpona Audio Show was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel between the 8th and 10th of March; with over 4000 attendees and 90 exhibit rooms, the show allowed manufacturers and retailers to exhibit their products to a large number of customers. The Cable Company previewed the new Abyss AB-1266 Headphones at their exhibition stand for the entirety of the three-day show, and received a huge amount of positive interest from consumers, the press and fellow companies in the trade.

The Cable Company will give the Abyss Headphones an official launch at April’s New York Audio Show, but chose to preview them at the Axpona as a way to whet the appetites of all audiophiles who have followed the Ab-1266 Headphones’ development. The Cable Company will be the USA’s initial sole distributor, and will add them to their Lending Library—a service which allows customers to hire equipment and evaluate them at home before committing to buy. The Abyss Headphones were created to take the experience of listening to music to the next level, with several innovative features including: a unique transducer with the lowest possible driver mass; finely tuned resonance control and acoustics, as well as custom high-power neodymium magnets to reduce driver distortions.

“Audiophiles are in for an experience unlike any other when they get their hands on the new Abyss Headphones, and we’re honored to be the first USA distributor to bring them to the market,” says Robert Stein of The Cable Company. “These headphones take planar magnetic technology to new levels of resolution and realism; every detail affecting performance has been addressed, from the drivers, to the surrounds, to the wiring, making them a tour de force in headphone design and arguably the finest ever produced. By using our Library Lending service, customers can see for themselves just how unique these are before they buy.”
