Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (12th February, 2013) – Worktop Express®, a leading UK provider of kitchen worktops made from solid wood, have lent their support to fundraising efforts in their local area.
The Year 8 girls at Stroud Girls High, Gloucestershire, have recently undertaken Giving Nation’s challenge to schools: to raise as much money as possible for their chosen charity Winston’s Wish, to be in with a chance of winning a trip to India.
As part of their efforts to support charitable organisations and fundraising efforts in their local area, Worktop Express® provided the vans, materials and provisions for the girls to undertake a mass carwash to raise money for Winston’s Wish.
A spokesperson for Worktop Express® commented: “When Worktop Express heard that the girls were kicking off their fundraising with a series of carwashes, we were keen to help them in any way we could.
“We are committed to supporting local initiatives – particularly charitable ones – and the timing of the mass carwash certainly worked out well, as it had been quite a busy week for our by-then-muddy 2Man delivery fleet!
“Overall, the day was a huge success and the girls raised a considerable amount of cash for Winston’s Wish.”
