in-cosmetics Asia Presents Industry-leading Educational Line-up

Surrey, UK (4th October, 2012) – in-cosmetics Asia, an exhibition dedicated to the booming Asian beauty market, will host a programme of educational workshops led by world-renowned scientific and personal care experts; these will tackle some of the most challenging and hotly debated topics within the industry.

A half-day Regulations Workshop will guide manufacturers through the most recent industry developments: EU: Preparation for the Regulation Implementation will be led by Dr Annelie Struessman, Technical Director of CONUSBAT.

China has become the largest internet beauty market in the world, with a 200 percent increase in online purchases since 2006 (Source: Kline). Mr Wendell Wei of China Gate will assist manufacturers in remaining at the cutting edge of this trend, in China Focus: What is New?

As confusion continues to reign over the latest Asian regulations, Dr Alain Khaiat of Seers Consulting will present ASEAN – Korea: Overview of Changes, supported by a session from Mrs Le Chau Giang of Johnson & Johnson.

The last year has seen the introduction of a number of innovative haircare products, from anti-ageing shampoos to hair loss tonics. Despite this, industry-led debates remain few and far between.

This year’s in-cosmetics Asia will feature a stand-alone workshop providing the latest information on innovative topics such as Hair Physiology and Hair Care Sensory Evaluation. This has attracted contributions from some key names in the industry, including L’Oreal, with Mr Umesh Padke hosting Trends in Haircare.

The rest of the workshop will cover What’s New in Hair Styling; What’s New in Hair Colouring and What’s New in Hair Conditioning.

in-cosmetics Asia welcomes two dedicated formulation streams – The Basic and Advanced Formulation Workshops – run by Dr Luigi Rigano.

The Basic Formulation Workshop will discuss the key steps of formulation strategy in the development of a new product. The Advanced Formulation Workshop will present attendees with a series of formulation options and their respective hurdles, following procedural steps on how to become a self-styled cosmetic formula designer.

With the latest research revealing that Asia is the world’s largest market for natural personal care products (Source: Kline), in-cosmetics Asia is delighted to present The Interactive Natural and Organic Workshop.

Run by Dr Barbara Olioso of Organatural Cosmetic Developments, the workshop will allow attendees to create a natural product, while discussing the issues and challenges encountered along the way.

Ivan Rahal, Marketing Manager for in-cosmetics Asia, said: “This year’s educational programme will offer the most authoritative information available from within the industry direct to our visitors. From formulation strategy and legislation to innovative workshops on haircare, the sessions will bring expert knowledge direct to the people helping to shape this ever-changing industry.”

in-cosmetics Asia will run from 6 to 8 November 2012 at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand. For more on the educational programme go to www.in-cosmeticsasia.com
