Artist biographies:
Anthony Hope
Anthony Hope is a poprock band originating from Trøndertun folkehøyskole in Norway. The band consists of musicians from a wide variety of genres, but they all have a common goal; to play music with appeal for the man on the street as well as the music enthusiasts. In 2011 they won the prestigious demotape award and the mp-live award worth a staggering £24,000. After publishing their demo, “A Beautiful Dance With a Chainsaw”, the band is now constantly working on new original tracks for a second release in 2012.

Soul In One
Fronted by Daniela, Jay Alexzander and Ady Suleiman, the three vocalists are a force to be reckoned with. Already being compared to the likes of The Fugees, these three very different vocalists, surprisingly mesh amazingly together, creating one epic sound. Comprised of Tom, Ed Black, Hamish, and Jake King their rhythm section brings a funky sound to the band. Making up the rest of the band are the horns, Ed Pope, and Raffe, who add the extra fire needed to create Soul in One’s unique sound.

Mutant Vinyl
Hailed for their captivating live performances, Mutant Vinyl travel through Massive Attack, Prince & John Coltrane to bring beats, hooks & black Saxophones. Edwin Pope began Mutant Vinyl over a year ago, and have since landed high profile support slots with Electric Six, Scouting For Girls & Kill It Kid at some of the UK’s best live music venues such as the O2 Academy Bournemouth, the Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms & Liverpool’s Cavern Club. Mutant Vinyl recently caught the ear of Trip-Hop legend Tricky & the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, as well as their track Acid Honey breaking into the Strummerville Top 20 chart at number 1.

Gaby & The Gents
Gaby & The Gents are an electro-acoustic band currently studying at LIPA. We have been together for a few months and have had gigs up and down the country. The band consists of 4 members: Gaby Feldman on vocals, Paddy O’Shaughnessy on djembe, Maxime Mcgowan on guitar and Jonny ball on bass.

Graeme Heerden
Graeme Heerden is a Singer/Songwriter/Pianist from the sandy shores of South Africa. He is currently at LIPA but plays with bands and solo artists outside and inside LIPA. His catchy pop tunes with the influence of blues makes his music edgy and one to watch.
