Ayrtek’s brief was to construct a cricket helmet that was lighter and stronger than those currently on the market, but was also safer. No easy task, so they teamed up with specialist foam manufacturers Technical Foam Services to assist them in reaching their goal. Technical Foam Services utilised the latest in foam and materials technology to construct and test prototypes with a foam liner to make the next generation of helmets as safe as possible.
After many trials and tribulations the ACIS Elite was born which contains a special foam liner, complementing the perfect balance between safety, durability and comfort. At the forefront of innovation, the ACIS Elite has a super lightweight construction shell made out of carbon fibre/Kevlar, and a four-point chin strap to eliminate instances of forefront wobble.
