Wolfestone Director Nominated for Institute of Directors Wales Awards

Swansea, United Kingdom (16th May, 2012) – Wolfestone Translation, a market-leading language translation company offering translation and voiceover services across all languages, announce that Wolfestone Translation Director Anna Bastek has been nominated in the Institute of Directors Wales Awards.

As a former winner of Swansea Bay’s Woman of the Year Award, Wolfestone Translation Director Anna Bastek is no stranger to accolades, but this nomination was particularly pleasing.

The Welsh division of the Institute of Directors has almost 1,000 members and sets a standard for business excellence in the Principality. The philosophy of the Institute is “to support, represent and set standards for directors” and this week’s annual awards lunch will celebrate the achievements of Welsh business leaders who’ve done exactly that. Nominations have come from within the business community, and Anna is delighted not only to have been nominated but to have to have been included on the final shortlist, commenting:

“At a time when Welsh business needs positive, proactive leadership I’ve done my best to provide it. Our translation service has helped countless Welsh clients build bridges to emerging markets overseas, and the recognition of the Institute is a very gratifying reward for that.”

The Institute describes its core brand values as “Professional, Inclusive, Commercial, Energetic and Open & Honest”. These words might just as easily be used to describe Anna’s work at Wolfestone. The company has achieved 500% growth in turnover over the past three years, offering not only specialist services to clients but specialist career paths to employees. Wolfestone has provided a continuous good news story for the region, winning awards for staff development and launching innovative new products and services. The Institute makes its awards this week in categories including Director of the Year, Environmental Leadership and Talent and Innovation. One of them would be a fitting acknowledgement of the Swansea based market leader.

Robert Lloyd Griffiths, the Director of IOD Wales, sees this week’s awards as an opportunity “to champion success and highlight inspired business leadership”.

Anna Bastek is in full agreement, commenting: “The Institute of Directors is a long-standing supporter of entrepreneurship, and that’s exactly what this country needs. I believe Wolfestone has found the right direction not only for ourselves but also for our clients, showing them a path to domestic and international success. Wales can achieve, Wales can lead, and I believe Wolfestone can help to show Wales the right direction.”
